Thanks to Mega Millions, we are considering starting up an office lottery pool. The more I think about it, the more I see this as a bad idea. The math doesn’t seem to add up.
Let’s look at an example:
Assume there is a lottery prize of 100 million dollars.

Is this for real? If so, I have exactly no idea how to feel about this.

What is the allure of stand-up paddle boarding? I just don’t understand why I’m seeing this sport all over the place now. Seems like a marketing gimmick milking the “new and different” angle. More than 1 billion coins sit in storage
The U.S. Mint claims that the American public is resistant to dollar coins and refuses to use them. While in general I understand that comment, from a practical perspective I’m not resistant at all. I just never get them as change. What am I supposed [...]

As someone commented on the The West’s comment section, “This is exactly the sort of guy who should be eaten by a crocodile…sometimes you need to thin the herd a little.” I agree! The guy is the perfect candidate for pruning via natural selection.
From FLIP PRIOR at The West Australian:
A man who [...]

Fear of the devil is holding up the census in India as groups of religious believers refuse to participate for fear of being associated with an imaginary evil force.
The fear of the ‘Beast’ or the Devil in the Christian-dominated state of Mizoram has caused almost 1,000 families to refuse to enroll their names [...]
