Emergency Preparedness Toiletry Provisions

WHhhhaaaaaaaaaaaa?

I just don’t understand that story at all.  I don’t get it.  So many questions and so little time.

  1. What is the problem with walking down the hall to go to the bathroom?
  2. Peeing in a bucket?  Really?
  3. What is a “lockdown” in a public school?  Never heard of that before.
  4. Does everyone have to pee at that school all the time?  What’s the deal with all the peeing?
  5. Putting a bucket in a corner is a method to deal with nuclear attack?
  6. That’s in the handbook?  “Put a bucket in the corner to pee into.”  Whaaaaaa?

I need to go lie down.

OK, very quickly, the Latino students were joining protests re:immigration – they were walking out. The teacher imposed a “lock down” to stop it – which she is entitled to do, apparantly. She went too far, and stopped students from leaving the class room – forcing them to pee in buckets IN the class room.

Stupid? Yes. “Honest Mistake”? Hmmmm, no, just stupid. Where were the teachers in all of this? Didn’t they complain? I don’t know. Pretty ridiculous.
