ALWAYS Search for a Promo Code or Coupon!

Just placed an order with Edmunds Scientific.  I got to the “Submit Order” page when I noticed that they had a box to enter a Promo Code.  I’m usually the king of finding promo codes, but this time I was feeling lazy.  “What are the chances of a semi-obscure site like Edmunds Scientific having a promo code floating around out there”?

Thankfully I decided not to be lazy.  15 seconds later I entered a code that I found to reduce the cost of my order by EIGHT DOLLARS!  My total went from $32 to $24 just like that.

This kind of stuff is EXACTLY what frustrates me with stupid Americans and their obsession with pennies and gallons of gasoline.  Just take a little time and effort to secure a deal such as I have described above and you don’t have to worry on a daily basis whether or not you should be paying $2.29 or $2.32 per gallon for gasoline!  You stupid retards.

Last night I was in KOHLS buying some shirts.  They were $40 each and 50% off… so $20 each at the register.  While signing my credit card statement I noticed that they rang-up for $24 each.  I showed this to the cashier and she promptly knocked EIGHT DOLLARS off of my purchase.

So in the course of 24 hours I have saved myself $16 by making the tiniest bits of effort and the smallest of observations.  Assuming that I fill up my car twice monthly at 10-gallons per fill-up… and assuming that gas prices fluctuate by $.10 in an average month…. I can go for… lessee… 8 months without a second thought or wasted watercooler conversation about where to buy “cheap gas”.

Ahhhh… I love being so kick-ass.
